Word duel

Each word climbs three levels: pick its meaning, recognize it by ear, then write its pinyin with tones. A right answer strikes your opponent; a miss lets them strike back, and the word returns soon at an easier level. Five right in a row unleash a special move. You have three lives, and a knockout gives one back. The final master is made of the words you missed most.
